Weight Training is Ridiculously Good for You

When asked about their health and exercise levels,  a new study of 36,000 women aged 47 – 98 found that:

  1. Weight training, or strength-training reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by 17% and Type 2 diabetes by 30%;
  2. Reduces BMI, improving how the body uses insulin and allowing glucose to move around the body more efficiently;
  3. Adding aeorbic exercise to weight-training reduces the risk of both even further;

Both types of exercises are beneficial and strength training has serious significant weight to it!
